Pinxt
In 1996 Pinxt decided to become a dj. He bought his first dj gear, after hearing mixed hardcore cd's. In that time Pinxt listened to hardcore a lot, even during homework. He didn't know anybody who could teach him how to mix. So he teached it to himself. Pinxt's taste in music style has changed a lot over the last 8 years. He started out with playing hardcore, but switched to club music very fast. Then he discovered trance, hardhouse but finally found his true love in techno after visiting Sensation 2000. At this party he heard Carl Cox and Sven Väth play techno for the first time. Pinxt had heard techno a couple of years before that (from I Love Techno cd's), but didn't like it that much back then.
Pinxt finally committed himself to techno after hearing Dave Clarke play at I Love Techno 2000. Which still is the best party he ever visited, despite his extensive party visits. In Pinxt's opinion Dave Clarke is one of the best techno dj's on the planet and found a goal in trying to achieve the same mixing skills as Clarke. In doing so he needed to buy a pioneer djm 600 mixer. After saving money for a while, he was able to buy one. Practice commenced.
The last few years have been great for Pinxt. He played some very well recieved sets and ever since his star is rising. With residencies at Club Poema and off course Subculture he played lots of gigs all over the place.
2011 made Pinxt switch from vinyl/cd to Traktor dj sets
